MiiR from Seattle makes premium stainless-steel bottles, insulated mugs and food containers, but its real innovation lies in the accounting of good. While most brands donate an anonymous percentage of profit to charity, MiiR built the Give Code system: every product carries a code you enter on the website to see the specific project your purchase supported — from clean-water access to community programmes. Giving thus stops being a vague promise from an annual report and becomes a traceable transaction where you see the recipient, the amount and the result. MiiR is the answer to the question of what philanthropy should look like in an age when nobody believes big words: transparently, concretely and built into the product.
