Women's Skate World Better
Skate World Better is a non-profit organisation that since 2019 has been building skateparks in Africa, shipping boards there and teaching local children to ride.
Originally founded in Copenhagen, it later moved to Prague, from where it now coordinates projects, equipment drives and builds.
The logic is simple and proven on streets around the world: skateboarding is cheap, needs no pitch or coach and gives children exactly what is missing most in tough conditions — community, discipline and a reason to belong.
A concrete skatepark is, moreover, infrastructure that stays in the neighbourhood for decades and lives a life of its own.
Merch in this story is not a by-product but fuel: every T-shirt sold finances concrete, obstacles and equipment for the next park.
You are therefore buying two things at once — clothing and a piece of ramp somewhere children who would otherwise have nothing will see.
Skate World Better shows the strongest form of charity: specific, tangible and on wheels.
Ollie for good, literally.
