Men's Novesta
Novesta is made in Partizánske, a Slovak town that grew in the 1930s on a greenfield site around a Baťa shoe factory as a model industrial township.
The brand lives off that tradition to this day, quite literally: the trainers are produced on the original factory grounds using the classic technique in which the sole of natural rubber is pressed and vulcanised directly onto the textile upper.
No gluing, no shortcuts — a process almost no longer used elsewhere in the world because it is slow and demands craft.
The result is a shoe with a characteristic ribbed welt and a lifespan that ordinary glued trainers can only dream of.
The silhouette of the legendary models has barely changed over decades, because it didn’t need to: a simple canvas trainer with a rubber sole is a finished concept.
Novesta is a piece of Central European industrial history you can wear: the Baťa heritage, the socialist era and today’s fashion comeback have been survived by the same factory with the same process.
That can neither be bought nor copied.
It can only be inherited.
