Collection:
Forét
Forét is French for forest, and the Danish brand behaves according to its name: slowly, quietly and with respect for the material.
It was founded in Copenhagen in 2014 by childhood friends Jeppe Meier and Jesper Finderup.
The Copenhagen label builds its wardrobe on organic cotton and natural fibres, muted landscape colours and cuts that outlast every trend because they don't follow any.
Inspiration comes from being outdoors, not from the runway: mist over a fjord, stone, moss, wood.
Collections build on one another rather than denying each other, so a piece bought three years ago pairs with this year's.
Forét is clothing for people who spend their weekends outdoors and don't need it written on them in capital letters: no expedition technologies, no performance costume, just honest materials sewn in Europe and calm design for city and forest alike.
In a world where every other brand shouts, Forét is deliberately quiet.
And that is exactly why it's heard.
Slow fashion in the original sense of the word: slow in pace, long in lifespan.
